Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

Playing Porcupine Tree songs on the drums is the most difficult thing ever. Gavin Harrison and Chris Maitland are fuckin geniuses. England has given us some of the best music ever!!!

Re: The Awkward Moments Thread.

So my band and a couple of other bands just finished playing a gig and we were all just talking and hanging around backstage. So we were having dinner and the drummer of the other band came in and told us one of the funniest things I've heard in me life. So his friend was all oiled up and he was wat...

Re: Tremonti @ Club INT (played new song) EDIT: posted song

They played 'All That I Got' at the Birmingham show last night. There's a video of it on Facebook. Audio is pretty bad on the video but from what I could make out, it's a really solid song. Waiting for a better quality video on this one.

Re: The Movie Thread

Just watched Moonrise Kingdom. Wes Anderson does it again. The movie is an absolute treat. Beautiful production and such a great cast. Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Bruce Willis are so good.
Can't wait for what Anderson makes next.

And I also watched Prometheus recently. Found it a tad underwhelming.

Re: Your Favourite Alter Bridge Memory

I was initially pretty bummed out with Creed disbanding and I was really looking forward to what Mark and the guys would come up with next. The first time I heard that solo on Open Your Eyes. That blew me away. I knew Mark could solo but watching that video on MTV in India(yeah I was really surprise...

Re: Books/What are you reading?

Neil Gaiman - Neverwhere. Such a good read. His flair for prose is just brilliant. Need to pick up more of his books now.
Also looking forward to reading some John Scalzi. I think even Tremonti had mentioned his books in an interview.

Re: Your "All I Was" Review Here

I love this album. Some of the riffs are huge. Leave It Alone begins things really well. Wish You Well stands out for me. Some really good melodies on the album. Leave It Alone, Wish You Well, Proof, Giving Up and Decay are my favourites as of now. The outro of Proof is one of the best parts he's wr...

Re: So, Creed V's producer(s) are....

I am definitely not a fan of Elvis' production. There are parts that sound really lifeless sonically. But after listening to a lot of the bands Elvis has worked with I think he helps the bands write good songs. I think he has a good ear for songs and definitely provides a good input as far as arran...

Re: The 4th Album

Give Myles a good break before starting work on this album. He's easily one of the most consistent singers I've seen but even his voice just appears to be a bit strained with all the constant touring. Give him a break and I think it'll do his voice and the album a lot of good. Nick Raskulinecz would...

Re: Top 10 Best Male Singers of All Time

Myles Kennedy - Legend man. Maynard James Keenan - Great lyrics and an amazing frontman. Eddie Vedder - This guy has so much emotion in his voice. Really consistent live as well. Such a treat to see him on the acoustic sets of PJ. Warrel Dane - His vocals might take time to get used to but he's one ...

Re: Hear A Few Full Tracks

Just heard Giving Up. Decided not to give the other songs a listen till I have the entire album with me. It loses some of the magic when you listen to just few of the songs from the album. I wanna make sure I listen to it in the right tracklisting. Not checking any more preview as well. 2 more days ...
