Re: Tremonti Project: Previews
Sounds pretty good! Although some of this sounds like it could be AB material.

Re: The 4th Album
I love piano but I doubt it would suit AB. That's why they should give it a shot. Not necessarily piano, but at least do something outside of the obvious minor key guitar-riff-based album: they should truly push themselves creatively/artistically. Every band says that they do it, but it seems that ...

Re: Wonderful Life video
Y'know since we're probably not gonna get a live performance, they should do a WDTTW video.

Re: The 4th Album
Yeah you definitely don't have to "be progressive" to do a concept record, although putting one together is often times viewed as progressive. It'd just be exciting to hear the guys do something that truly pushes them creatively and artistically y'know?

Re: The Official LINKIN PARK Thread
^ Hahaha!!! Yeah really. Although I think someone already stated that LP is by no means a metal band.

Re: The 4th Album
Yeah I like the idea of AB doing a full on concept album, kinda like a Pink Floyd sorta thing where the songs sorta blend into each other. Whatever it is that they do though, the one thing that they absolutely HAVE to do is evolve. Whether that means evolving stylistically or staying the same but ma...

Re: Wonderful Life video
I hope they can work out the kinks and put it out sometime. It's such a great song and it sounded like the video was gonna be good. Although I can imagine a vdeo for that song being super corny too.

Re: FOO FIGHTERS!
Has anyone seen the show they did for VH1 Storytellers? I recorded it but they only showed like 5 or 6 songs and I've been trying to find the whole thing

Re: The Official LINKIN PARK Thread
Anyways, is anyone going to see them on the Honda Civic Tour with Incubus? And if so, what songs from the new record do you wanna hear them play?

Re: FOO FIGHTERS!
Foo Fighters show last night in Milwaukee @ Summerfest was awesome! Setlist Wow!! Looks like a great set!! Of course, pretty much any Foos set is gonna be fantastic!! It's great that they have tons and tons of hits, but they can still play some of the other cool songs live. I like how they do the I...

Re: Tremonti Project: Previews
Plus you've got like 9-10 hours before the show to listen to the album. So assuming it's about 45-50 minutes that's at least 10-11 times you can listen to it lol!

Re: WDTTW live?
Yeah Myles has said in interviews before that high notes and upper register stuff tend to be easier for him to sing than midrange stuff.

Re: The Official LINKIN PARK Thread
Yeah I was initially upset at the whole "radio-friendly" sound, but I got over it soon enough cuz the songs were still great, imo. Well I wasn't saying they have folk song and metal songs. That'd truly suck. But they've been able to incorporate elements of both those genres into their musi...

Re: WDTTW live?
Plus WDTTW would be an insanely tough song to play live. With all the different guitar parts, both acoustic and electric. I think it's just one of those songs that can't be reproduced very well live. So I personally doubt if we'll ever see it. But I agree, I'd like to see Blackbird played in its ent...

I don't mind "rock" songs that aren't guitar-driven, but yeah you're totally right.Timotheus wrote:In MTM the guitar was still in the front on most of the songs. But in ATS you really have to try to find the guitar in the mix.

Hehe, this thread is for LP fans, not LP haters. But just to give you haters something to talk about, what about the newer Linkin Park do you not like? Specifically, so not like "I hate everything!!!"

Re: PINK FLOYD, DAVID GILMOUR, AND ROGER WATERS
I actually rented AMLOR from my library the other day and I was gonna listen through it a few times, but I haven't got to it yet. I love Learning to Fly, Dogs of War, and One Slip though. I don't remember how most of the other ones go. It's hard to choose favorite Pink Floyd songs because of how the...

Re: Tremonti Project: Previews
Can someone remind me why shipping is so expensive for the album??? I was gonna pre-order it, but then I saw that shipping was at least $8!!
