Re: JustinVaughnTaylor Guitar Covers - UPDATED The Other Side preview clip
Hey Alter Bridge nation! I've been inactive on here for WAY too long. I've been away for school and life has just generally got in the way of me doing cover videos. Luckily I'm done with school now and have more time to devote to covers again. I've posted a teaser clip to let everyone know that I'm ...

Bought a standard PRS singlecut case for my SE for around $120 or so. Fits perfect.

Re: How does one acquire such a collection?
Sad reality is... there are lots of rich people in this country who have went to school many years and/or inherited wealth. They collect things (i.e. guitars) with their spare cash. Even though they may never have the time to play them.

Re: So whatever happend to that live in studio dvd?
Eh, I would rather have the tab book now, seems like a waste of man hours to do it then not release it IMO. Then just release the DVD later. Makes a lot more business sense and would please the fans more. Otherwise, the fans get bored over time and the excitement of the first album wears off... henc...

Re: Creed.com leads to Scott Stapp now
Pretty sure that's just because Creed/Stapp are on the same label. Of course they wouldn't mention AB, being they are on a competitor label.

Re: AB IV Writing/Recording Sessions
I am surprised that both Mark and Myles are sitting while they are recording. It just seems like they should be playing how they play live, for some reason. It's much easier to play clean and be more accurate while sitting down. Having a leg to brace the guitar allows all muscular effort to contrib...

Re: The Official ALICE IN CHAINS Thread
After 2 full listens it's already growing on me. It's not as radio friendly as BGWTB, so the songs naturally aren't going to jump out on the first listen. Still not sure if it's as good or better than BGWTB... but I do respect what they are trying to do by not making a BGWTB Pt.2 and going back to t...

Re: JustinVaughnTaylor Guitar Covers - UPDATED SLIP TO THE V
Haha thanks man! I worked hard on this one, I've got to say.. the leads in this song may be the most difficult AB leads to learn/play correctly.

Re: The Things I've Seen
It is definitely a full step down. I'll put my cover out there, it may or may not help. Unfortunately, this IS NOT exactly how Mark plays it, I sort of winged parts of it to somewhat suit my ear. It's also been a while since I've played this, so I don't...

Re: Floating Bridge Questions
The tremolo on the Tremonti II is very easy to deal with, and holds tuning nearly as well as a stoptail. However, a Floyd Rose type system is much more of a headache to deal with. As far as the springs go... the lower the tuning, the less spring tension you will need to balance out the string tensio...

Re: JustinVaughnTaylor Guitar Covers (AlterTremonti)
Yeah I was! I hung out with Mark a bit before the show (when I got my guitar signed) and after the show backstage before the band came out to the meet and greet. The drummer in the opening band 449 was the drummer in my old band that broke up earlier this year, so he was able to get me backstage aft...

Re: JustinVaughnTaylor Guitar Covers (AlterTremonti)
Haha. Well, I've acquired all my gear over the course of about 12 years, so I didn't really buy it all at once. I work in a pharmacy, trying to get into grad school. As far as TTIS, its really not too hard. I think it's quiet simple. The toughest part would be the weird picking pattern during the br...

Re: JustinVaughnTaylor Guitar Covers (AlterTremonti)
Thanks man, I really appreciate it!
I wanted to experiment with the backing track volumes on this one, I wanted the guitar to really jump out and sound as huge as possible. Sometimes it's hard to get that perfect volume balance, but it's seems that it worked for the most part!

I do plan on doing some tutorials. I just haven't had much time at all lately... barely enough time to do a video every couple of months lol. I just posted a new video of "Wish You Well" if anyone wants to check that out. What song would you like to see a tutorial of?

Try a better quality power supply. Cheap power supplies will make pedals hum.

Re: creed and AB songs in drop B ?
^Those aren't true Drop Bb. Those are a half step down with the low string tuned down to Bb.
I think he was referring to songs in true Drop B, the same tuning as Leave It Alone, etc.
