Re: Walk the Sky Europe 2019 Tour w/ Shinedown and the Raven Age

It's hilarious how Alter Bridge is huge in Europe and Shinedown aint much. Over here (wrongly) Shinedown is big and AB is mediocre. To the Euro's I say , You got the Rock Music Genre on the right track. I salute you.

Re: Anybody here play Alter Bridge songs on guitar?

Hell Ya I can play the shit out of AB songs. First and foremost I have worked and continue to work on Ahavo Rabo Taco Salad for over ten years. On a really good day I can get it about 95% proficient, never 100% but that won't stop me from trying. I can play the following near perfect: The entire One...

Re: Walk The Sky Production Quality.

I bought the Clint Lowery single the other day. It sounds ok but I just don't think its that great of a song. I will buy the rest of the record when it comes out because I want to support Clint and I want to hear the new PRS MT 100 which was used on it.

Re: Your Acoustic Covers Repertoire

Iris (Goo Goo Dolls) Do you play using the song's authentic tuning (BDDDDD)? If so, man, I'd hate to switch back and forth with that all of the time and eventually snap my strings or what have you. I did it once, but can't seem to find a good balance between me playing it and me singing it. The onl...

Re: Your Acoustic Covers Repertoire

Btw, what's the deal with AIC's "Nutshell"? Everyone is so in love with that song and I really don't understand why. They have way better songs. Check your pulse if the lyrics don't cut your soul and open you up. It can be a generational thing. Depending on your age it may not have the si...

Re: Walk The Sky Production Quality.

So I am feeling a lot better about the record now. The sound of it. The reason I was upset initially is the first time I put it on in my car that kick drum just aggravated the hell out of me. My bass EQ was centered, now its -3 and its tolerable. Dont like to do that because I don't want to reduce B...

Re: Walk The Sky Production Quality.

Give me one guitar that sounds as good as the intro for Shed my Skin or Broken Wings, just track one guitar that sounds that good and i'll never say anything bad about EB again. Holdup lemme hop in my time machine and go back to 2005 to deliver that message and change the future.

Re: How awkward do you think this moment was?

I see Creed reunion sooner than most people, within 5 years. I'm not saying it's all about money but man they make a shit ton of money off Creed. Even if they are playing outdoor ampitheaters and pulling 5-8K people that's great dough, American dollars. And yes , 90's generation is nostalgia crazy a...

Re: Walk The Sky Reaction Thread

I'm getting feels from Godspeed, Native Son and Forever Falling. Takes a lot of EQ manipulation to listen to the rest but there's good songs there, just can't hear em.

Re: Walk The Sky Production Quality.

What's funny is I distinctly remember many fans being vocally upset with the sound of ODR because the bass isn't very prominent on that record. So I wonder if that reaction wasn't at least partially responsible for the band moving to Baskette. Yes the Bass was a little low in the mix but it wasn't ...

Re: Walk The Sky Production Quality.

Well Done Little Dreamer, It's a shame because the songs are there. It's not like they forgot how to write good songs and riffs its just buried under Elvis shit. The excessive kick drum drives me nuts. You don't need all these huge bass drops especially coming out of a quieter part. Don't listen to ...

Re: Walk The Sky Reaction Thread

Fear Inoculum is great. Coincidentally, Tool and Alter Bridge are the only two hard rock / metal bands I still follow. And I'm seeing them both in concert this month for the first time in 12 years. :P Awesome I am seeing AB in St Pete on Tuesday and Tool in DC on Nov 27th. Our ears are gonna take a...

Re: Walk The Sky Reaction Thread

Whatever , I didnt come to start a fight about Tool and AB. Although I think some of you are kinda weird for not embracing the only Rock band other than Metallica to be able to cause a ruckus in the music world that is saturated in commercial garbage. That's because I've been listening to some Jpop...

Re: Walk The Sky Reaction Thread

Listened through it once so far , not nearly enough to give it a fair rating. But I can say this, there's not a song on there that is even a quarter as good as Pnuema from FI I'm sorry, the what now? Is Pnuema the album and FI is the band or something? Not everyone here is in the know with that kin...

Re: Rate the last album, you listened to.

Tool Fear Inoculum, 9/10. Awesome return for Tool. Gave the fans exactly what they want. Doesn't sound like it was written over a month between tours.
Also mixing and sound production is top notch. Thank You Tool
