Re: The Random Alter Bridge Thread

I was listening to Calm The Fire and I thought god... how beautiful it would've been that they played it on RAH, I mean that intro with the orchestra and all it would've been beautiful :( Agreed, Calm the Fire and Shed My Skin would have been perfect choices for an orchestra to have them play. Sadl...

Re: Listening party thread (Walk the Sky edition)

It was Forever Falling snowman!! Mark sings lead on that one and that was one of, if not my favorite song. Thought it was going to be a ballad, then BAM! here come the heavy guitars!!!! I read this too quick and thought you were saying that one of the songs' names was "Forever Falling Snowman&...

Especially since the songs are pretty damn good, IMO.

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

It's more of a Melody line than a solo. But I can see both sides of that argument. This exactly ^^^^^ its exactly what it sounds like. If its actually a solo its their worst by a mile How is it the worst by a mile? It's a great melody line. Great guitar solos can be simple and effective. It's far m...

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

After only one listen I think this song is catchy as hell and am looking forward to listening to it again. I'm very much enjoying the direction they're going with the 4 songs they've released so far, so I'm hopeful about the rest of the album. That being said, I can definitely see why there are some...

Re: Alter Bridge Walk the Sky Tour 2019

All right, I'm back from the Skillet/Sevendust show. My goodness, Skillet put on an amazing show. Everyone was singing along to mostly everything. The visuals were solid. The production values were good, plenty of steam, and some rising platforms. I liked that one bit where John Cooper had some cus...

Re: The Official INCUBUS Thread

Agreed, though I actually miss the pre-A Crow Left of the Murder sound. Yeah, I'm a big fan of Make Yourself and Morning View too. But if I had to pick a favorite album, it'd be Crow. Those three records for me are peak Incubus. Some good songs on Light Grenades as well (Dig especially) but I think...

It has sort of a fun 80s vibe, but not really my cup of tea when it comes to this band. I miss the A Crow Left of the Murder sound.

Re: 15th anniversary of One Day Remains

It’s a great album, but I definitely disagree that it’s natural Alter Bridge. Mark wrote pretty much everything and it still had a lot of that Creed flavor, I’ll agree with that, but it was basically Creed pumped up on super steroids. I love the riffs and guitar work, but the band didn’t really ‘be...

Re: Alter Bridge Walk the Sky Tour 2019

co-headlining, but is AB closing the shows? I hope so. They are the better draw. I've never seen Skillet headline a tour on their own. They are always playing festivals and on bills with 1 or 2 other name bands. I dont think they would draw more than 600 people on their own headline tour. If you th...

Most of the list is pretty decent, though I'm not familiar with all of the songs on the list. It's great to see Blackbird that high.

I will say though that Free Bird is the most overrated solo of all time, IMO.

Re: Wouldn't You Rather

I don't find that to be a particularly unreasonable expectation. Tool is a very technically proficient and unique band, but they're certainly an acquired taste. I personally only really enjoy a handful of their songs, though I certainly can appreciate and respect what they do. Also, while Ed Sheeran...

Re: Creed getting back together in 2020?

It's still a leap to assume they won't continue though...I haven't seen anyone make any sort of statement on the band, and it's not like it's unusual for bands to have lineup changes. I'm not really assuming anything - just speculating. I think they'll continue - just maybe not until 2021/2022. Aga...

Re: AB VI Studio/Recording Thread

I mean, I know I'm not the most eloquent of people, but that's not even remotely what I was saying or the point that I was making. It's a perfectly legitimate stance to enjoy the ODR and Blackbird albums more than the others, while still enjoying newer stuff too...I wouldn't even try to make that st...

ODR - Watch Your Words Blackbird - Break Me Down AB3 - Life Must Go On Fortress - All Ends Well TLH - You Will Be Remembered Life Must Go on AND All Ends Well?? Man.. bummer. For sure would pick Cry A River over AEW. All Ends Well is easily one of their cheesiest songs. I think I'd pick the same so...
