Re: Battle of The Track Numbers: Track 01

All of these are stellar songs, IMO, but I have to go with Bringer of War simply because I believe it's a better album opener than the rest of them.

Re: Tremonti pt #4 - A Dying Machine

I have to agree with E-Rock. Take You With Me is my favorite song Mark has written in a decade. And it's the one that sounds like Creed - the irony. What Creed song does that sound like in the slightest? Or are you thinking of The First The Last? Idk that is sounds exactly like a particular Creed s...

Re: Tremonti pt #4 - A Dying Machine

I just wrote my full album notes to go towards our full review that's being put out on all platforms we're on. And basically, it's bad ass (minus the 2 filler songs, can you guess which ones i'm talking about?) A Lot Like Sin and Make it Hurt. Unless we’re including Found For me the only filler son...

I only got as far as A Lot Like Sin on my way to work. So far it may not necessarily be my favorite Tremonti album, but damn does it have some truly fantastic songs on it. Really eager to hear the rest of the album!

Re: Tremonti pt #4 - A Dying Machine

Just listened to Bringer of War. My first impression is: excellent riffs and solos but the chorus is pretty bland and the song structure is the same as always, but that's to be expected by now. Why does he always insist on those open chord, sing along choruses like this? It feels completely out of ...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

I'd be surprised if we ever heard any new Creed stuff ever again. I just don't think the desire is there, particularly from Mark more than even the other guys. As much as I always loved Creed's music, based on the way things have repeatedly gone down with the band and Scott and Mark's relationship (...

Re: Tremonti pt #4 - A Dying Machine

Mark writing the types of vocal melodies and choruses he does is one of the main reasons I like his song writing so much. Perfect blend of heavy and melody for my tastes.

Fortress/Blackbird (too hard to decide)
The Last Hero
ABIII
One Day Remains

I'm still surprised by the number of people here that dislike The Last Hero.

yeah it's one of their best. it should have been on human clay, replacing inside us all. Whoa whoa whoa...while it should definitely have been on the album, it definitely should not have replaced Inside Us All. Yeah, it could've replaced Wrong Way or maybe even Wash Away Those Years. But I always l...

Thanks for sharing this. I ended up watching this and other videos of theirs for 2+ hours last night. Very entertaining and insightful, and it reminded me of how I felt the first time I heard many of the songs.

Hence the song "The God That Failed" on the Black Album.

I think it was his mother actually, though I could be wrong.

Re: The Last Hero - AB Nation Discussion

Honestly, after almost two months of hearing tracks, I still really really like Twilight. People felt that Fallout should have been taken off of ABIII, but I still really like that track as well. Those songs are just well constructed AB songs that I personally feel that people really overlooked the...

I'd consider Bleed It Dry potentially among one of AB's top 10 songs, personally. The whole thing, not just the solo section.
