Re: More Mark Lead Vocals, or just more harmonies?

Just harmonies for me.
He has his own band, and to be perfectly honest, I don't think he's that good of a lead singer. He's definitely trying to improve, and I salute him for his efforts, but it still sounds average to me for the most part.

Re: AB VI Speculation

Work with a producer who will push you to do new things.
Don't bring any riff, and write full songs in a room, as a band.
Take risks.

Re: Alter Bridge - Live At The Royal Albert Hall

We don't hear enough of the orchestra, and to be honest, I'm not sure it adds much to the song.
A slower song or an epic one would have made a better first impression IMHO.

Re: Revisiting Full Circle

Total Guitar Magazine [United Kingdom] (August, 2018) https://image.ibb.co/jmMCmd/3.jpg Faceless Man used to be his favourite. It's a weird choice, since he's only played it 18 times. https://www.setlist.fm/stats/songs/creed-3bd6bcc8.html?song=Time Also, notice how he says "Back in the Creed d...

Re: Should the Conspirators keep on playing GNR songs?

I think they should not play any GNR songs anymore. It doesn't make much sense, and they have enough songs of their own.

Should the Conspirators keep on playing GNR songs?

Now that the GNR have reformed, do you think the Conspirators should keep on playing songs from the GNR, or should they focus only on their own catalogue?

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

Who's genuinely badass or angry at 45?
Stapp has always had mellower influences than Mark's, and the balance of the two made the Creed sound.
Whether they like it or not, these guys were born to write music together.

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

I've already said this, but I think he's humble enough to realize no one cares about a Stapp solo show. The Creed audience has shrinked drastically over the years, and he went from playing in front of packed arenas to small clubs with a few hundreds of people. My guess is that ke knows the only way ...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

https://www.setlist.fm/setlists/scott-stapp-1bd6d1d8.html He usually plays one solo song, and the 10 or 13 other songs are from the Creed catalogue. It doesn't bother me, since he's doing the songs justice, and a Creed reunion is more unlikely than ever. If the remaining Creed fans are happy at the ...

So, we'll hear kids singing on a new Stapp song... I can't say I'm remotely excited to hear this. https://scontent-bru2-1.cdninstagram.com/vp/4bb7d97e7b93aca98269552673de38ee/5BD98737/t51.2885-15/e35/35999626_418730088611186_8181421504945192960_n.jpg https://scontent-bru2-1.cdninstagram.com/vp/2ed61...

Re: Alter Bridge - Magazine Covers

Thanks for the Rock Hard interview.
For those who don't speak French, they did a nice word play.
"A en perdre haleine" means to lose one's breath.
So, they wrote "A en perdre Halen", because they "lost" Wolfie since 2015.

Re: Tremonti pt #4 - A Dying Machine

The numbers are in: A Dying Machine sold 10,000 copies in its first week and sits at #57 on the Billboard 200. Things have changed a lot over the last couple of years, and streaming now plays a huge part in the ranking compared to 2015 or 2016. source: http://www.metalinsider.net/columns/metal-by-nu...

Re: Tremonti pt #4 - A Dying Machine

What’s wrong with the guitar tone, do you think? Just wondering cause I quite like it. It's too loud, and it clips (listen to the beginning of From the Sky, for instance). I also think it lacks clarity. It's not as muddy as it was on the fastest Cauterize songs, but IHMO, there is still a lot of ro...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

He's sounding great indeed. Let's all remember the 2009 and 2010 tours for a second... Never in a million years would anyone have thought his voice would sound good again. I know people like bashing him and his band, but I give them kudos for keeping the Creed name alive and for giving joy to the of...

Re: Tremonti pt #4 - A Dying Machine

Well, it just doesn't work for me at all. It sounds unfinished and goes nowhere, and I'm not a fan of the programmed synthetic drums. For instance, there was a Fear factory album which was recorded without a drummer, and once I discovered it, I could never listen to it afterwards anymore. But it's j...

Re: Tremonti pt #4 - A Dying Machine

It's a somewhat solid album overall. But it pretty much has all the flaws from the various Mark records from the last 10 years. I think his songwriting has just become very stale: the guy can still write some GREAT riffs, but the songs are so similar and redundant from an album to the next. He's jus...

Re: Tremonti pt #4 - A Dying Machine

The First the Last doesn't belong on this album. The first half is a Creed song, which sounds fine. It's like a mix of One and Lullaby. Very good call! I think he should've hired a female singer to do the female POV to make the dialogue more clear. It would've made the album so much more memorable ...

My fear is that it's going to be Proof of Life 2.0.
If the sessions are close to being done, I think we'll hear the album in October or November.
