Re: Lost In Vegas reacts to Alter Bridge

Sometimes, you can see a look of total surprise on their faces when there is a sudden change during a song. Plus, I'm not sure they're making any money with this, because of copyright issues. But for the most part, I agree with you. It's a ridiculous concept when you thiink about it, and most reacti...

Re: Tremonti pt #4

Just like Slayer and AC/DC fans, they're very close-minded and have fun heckling opening bands.

Re: Lost In Vegas reacts to Alter Bridge

I've discovered these guys just last week, and George (the guy on the right) usually has some interesting things to say about songs he just heard.
It's also funny to see them not like a song that is viewed by every metalhead as a classic (e.g. Caught in a Mosh).

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

I like early Anthrax, and Dan Spitz's leads were awesome back in the day, but he was never the creative force of the band, and the recent project he had (Red Lamb) sounded awfully generic.
I don't know, it's a strange choice for Stapp. They have nothing in common stylistically.

Re: Tremonti pt #4

Iron Maiden's fans are a really tough crowd. You'd better impress them, or they'll either boo you or turn their back on you.

Re: Myles Kennedy - "Year of the Tiger"

You're right. His father died in 1996, I think.
Still a great song, though.

Re: Myles Kennedy - "Year of the Tiger"

The same thing happened to James Hetfield's father.
Hence the song "The God That Failed" on the Black Album.

Re: Myles's solo album

So Im digging into this way too much probably but year of the tiger... 1974. According to wiki Myles lost his father when he was four which would line up to be 1974. I think this is the solo album according to the interview where he talked about the subject matter having a bit to do with that. Agai...

Re: ALTER BRIDGE - Live at the O2 Arena + Rarities

No it isn't. Remember the box set fiasco.
By the way, those two ODR songs are pretty cool, even though I wouldn't have wanted them on the actual album back in 2004.

Re: Alter Bridge Fall Tour 2017 (South America and Europe)

Great setlist indeed. It's really cool to see them finally shake things up and play rarities on a regular basis.
Shed my Skin, In Loving Memory and Words during the same concert? Nobody would have predicted that 1 or 2 years ago.

Re: Alter Bridge Fall Tour 2017 (South America and Europe)

I'm so happy they played it again. Shed my Skin is a song that works well when the crowd is into it, and the great thing about AB these days versus 2004/2005 is they have a bigger fanbase that knows their catalogue well: they know the lyrics and they know when they have to sing a part. Who knows, th...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

Here is a full show from may 22nd 2017 :

It's almost a pro-shot video, meaning there are a few cameras (some of which are in the audience) and a soundboard recording.
I have listened to a few bits here and there, and he seems so struggle with the higher notes.

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

Here's a rare interview from Stapp on the o'Reilly factor in april 2002, 3 weeks before his car accident.

It starts at the 16th minute.
