Re: SCOTT STAPP Sued By ART OF ANARCHY

We talked about it here: http://thealterbridgenation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=2940&start=80#p195692 I don't believe for a second that Stapp has more than 1 million in cash. Remember, he did that TV show for 200 grand, and during an interview 1 year ago or so, he said that he'd love to...

Re: The Official Art of Anarchy Thread

From what I understand, this lawsuit was not filed by the whole band, but only by the twin brothers. Funnily, this is what Bumblefoot had to say 3 years ago when Weiland distanced himself from that band. ART OF ANARCHY is not competition or a threat or interference to what any of us are doing — it's...

Re: The Official Art of Anarchy Thread

You've got a point.
But IMHO, they should sue him for 200,000 dollars (and damages) then. Not 1.2 million.

Re: The Official Art of Anarchy Thread

I find this lawsuite completely ridiculous. They released a (good) album, and it was clear from the start it wouldn't be succesful. The audience just didn't care about it, and everyone made it clear in the interviews it was a side project and they were still committed to their other bands. If Stapp ...

Re: Myles Kennedy - "Year of the Tiger"

I purposefully haven't heard a note of the new album, and I'll discover it all on march 9th. I, for one, am sick and tired of the Alter Bridge and Tremonti albums that all use the same formula (I think I just outgrew it), so I was definitely happy to hear this new batch of songs would be different. ...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

I'm wondering what motivates Stapp to write and record a new solo album, since he barely played anything off it on his latest tours. It's like he's accepted the fact he'll play the same 12 Creed songs until the rest of his career. He's gotta know the Creed style is not popular anymore, and he won't ...

As expected, the album is produced by Elvis Baskette.

I wonder if they're still a band.
Until we get an answer about that, here's an interview from last april about the recording of the album.

Re: Myles Kennedy - "Year of the Tiger"

So is it just common practice now to release previews then oopsdidn'tmeanto and take them down again? I feel like this has happened several times now. The two songs I've heard so far have a pretty creative musical feel to them and make you want to bop your knee but I just haven't heard anything yet...

Re: Lost In Vegas reacts to Alter Bridge

Sometimes, you can see a look of total surprise on their faces when there is a sudden change during a song. Plus, I'm not sure they're making any money with this, because of copyright issues. But for the most part, I agree with you. It's a ridiculous concept when you thiink about it, and most reacti...

Just like Slayer and AC/DC fans, they're very close-minded and have fun heckling opening bands.

Re: Lost In Vegas reacts to Alter Bridge

I've discovered these guys just last week, and George (the guy on the right) usually has some interesting things to say about songs he just heard.
It's also funny to see them not like a song that is viewed by every metalhead as a classic (e.g. Caught in a Mosh).

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

I like early Anthrax, and Dan Spitz's leads were awesome back in the day, but he was never the creative force of the band, and the recent project he had (Red Lamb) sounded awfully generic.
I don't know, it's a strange choice for Stapp. They have nothing in common stylistically.

Re: Tremonti pt #4

Iron Maiden's fans are a really tough crowd. You'd better impress them, or they'll either boo you or turn their back on you.

You're right. His father died in 1996, I think.
Still a great song, though.

Re: Myles Kennedy - "Year of the Tiger"

The same thing happened to James Hetfield's father.
Hence the song "The God That Failed" on the Black Album.
