Re: Revisiting Full Circle

What he says at 3:05 about getting heavier on future albums is very frustrating.
We'll never know how awesome this band would/could have been in the 2000's. I'm sure they still had two great top-to-bottom albums in them, at least.

Re: Revisiting Full Circle

I had never seen that! It's nice to see Mark and Stapp running and playing baseball together. They've said so many times that the band was done and it was just a business after Human Clay, and this video shows that they were actually still good friends in 2001. That's the kind of stuff they should a...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

Indeed.
He's tighter than I thought, but nowhere near a professional level.

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

I was not sold on that Broken performance.
Since he can barely play guitar, he changed the song a lot, and he struggled to hit those high notes. It was also very repetitive, since he played the same guitar pattern again and again for 5 minutes.

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

Their success is very limited. If they're growing, it's way too slowly, and I doubt they're making much money with that band. A lot of people don't realize how little money bands make these days, and with the Covid-19 crisis, most of them won't be able to rely on touring money for a while. So what d...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

The 2008 financial crisis probably played a role in Creed's first reunion. Who knows, maybe the forecoming one will have the same consequence, but I'd rather they didn't do it if they don't commit to it 100%. Creed should not be a band you only dig up only when you struggle financiallly. As to Tremo...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

Don't Stop Dancing seems to be South Americans' favourite Creed song. It's weird, because in other countries, there is barely any reaction when Stapp plays it. Nowadays, Mark seems to have all these preconceived ideas about Creed (they're more commercial, he was just a baby guitar player back then, ...

I love how they sing the female parts in the middle.

Re: Revisiting Full Circle

It's average, and Creed was never average in the first place.
This is why this album is a disaster for their legacy.

Re: Creed's YouTube Channel

Well, this video was not published on Creed's Youtube channel, but I think it deserves to be seen by most of the subforum lurkers. kamaral28 originally posted it in the Scott Stapp thread, by it's definitely Creed related, so here it is: http://thealterbridgenation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=22&...

My bet is that he will just announce a new solo tour.
Yannis commented on his post and said "Yes!!", so I guess he's part of it.

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

https://youtu.be/3UDxLaOYR-M On this 360 degrees interview, Stapp reflects about Creed's success, the importance of family when success hits, and taking it all for granted. He also says he talked to the Creed guys on Facetime at a charity golf tournament. According to this post, it happened just a ...

Sadly, it's happened to most forums I know.
Nowadays, people prefer social media, and don't bother posting long elaborated posts anymore.

Re: Walk The Sky Production Quality.

But i'd be very much in favor of someone like Jens Bogren getting the chance to mix AB. Good call. I would like him to produce their next record, not just mix it. I watched the documentary about Sepultura's latest album, and the guy seems to really push everyone in the band in a good way. He gets a...

Creed is still a punchline in 2020

Yup, it's still happening after all these years. The band is mentioned twice in Hulu's High Fidelity. In episode 7, at 7:48, here's what you can hear: - Come on, it won't be that bad - I would literally rather listen to Creed - Whoa! Alright, I hear you. The scene is shown once again at the beginnin...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

“I wanted to go into a situation where it felt like a band, hammering out songs, being real with one another and calling out crap. I didn't want ‘Yes men.’ I was tired of that in my life. I appreciate people speaking the truth and I wanted it in the creative process.” Good. Though he had previously...

Dave Grohl loves With Arms Wide Open

Listen, I happen to think that 'With Arms Wide Open,' by Creed, is one of the most amazing songs of all time. And I'm not kidding. It's true. I have a real soft spot for 'With Arms Wide Open.' And I would have no problem getting down on that. source: https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/dave-grohl-d...

Re: The Official SCOTT STAPP Thread

Inside Us All grew a lot on me over the years, but is there a more repetitive song in Creed's catalogue?
Still, kudos to the crowd for singing it so loud. It's gotta feel good to perform deep album cuts in front of such adoring fans.
