Re: Rank the songs from favorite to least favorite

One Day Remains: I really like the first 11 songs 1. Shed My Skin (best AB song ever !) 2. Metalingus (I remember being blown away by this riff in 2004) 3. The End Is Here (Faceless Man 3.0) 4. One Day Remains (just WOW) 5. Down To My Last (this should have been the first single ! Incredible solo) 6...

Re: So, Creed V's producer(s) are....

Again, Tremonti himself claimed back in the creed days that he wasn't into soloing.. He called it "flashy stuff" I would love to hear him talk about that :lol But overall, i'm not sure he's changed his mind that much, or else he wouldn't have cut the Proof solo. In a recent interview, he ...

Re: So, Creed V's producer(s) are....

I'm not saying Creed was a nu-metal act. I'm just saying soloing was kind of a lame thing in the music industry back then : radio didn't want it, and most "young-ish" listeners didn't either. I remember a couple of interviews where Mark said he wanted to bring the solo back to the radio wi...

Re: So, Creed V's producer(s) are....

But the thing is, if you compare Mark's guitar work in 97'-01' Creed and his work in AB, you can see that there is a lot more "freedom" in soloing and a lot of lead guitar parts on ODR. Maybe it wasn't a Stapp pressure on Mark, it could be a Wind-Up pressure on all of them. Don't forget 1...

Re: So, Creed V's producer(s) are....

AB is definately heavier than Creed, maybe with an exception of Full Circle and songs like Bullets or Freedom Fighter. Just look at tracks like Metalingus, Watch Your Words, Come to Life, Ties That Bind, White Knuckies, One By One and the half of ABIII. Well it depends on what you call "heavy&...

Re: Rank the songs from favorite to least favorite.

Good : 1. Wish You Well :headbang 2. Giving Up (great riff) 3. New Way Out (pretty much the only song where I actually love the vocals and lyrics) 4. The Things I've Seen 5. Decay Alright : 6. Brains (it would have been way up there with a fitting chorus) 7. Leave it Alone (nice solo, but that's jus...

I didn't actually look at the song lengths, but you get what I mean. If you wanna know, I was speaking about Make it right, I know it hurts, Still remains, Isolation, Fallout and Coeur d'Alene

Re: So, Creed V's producer(s) are....

Alter Bridge is heavier and more complex. AB is also not as commercial. Sorry, but NO. Rise Today, Open Your Eyes, Ghosts of days Gone By, Down to my Last, and all the 3mn45 "rockers" from ABIII are far commercial than anything Creed related IMHO (aside from Don't Stop Dancing, I never un...

Re: Your "All I Was" Review Here

I listened to (most of) the album yesterday with a good pair of headphones, and it made quite a difference. I genuinely enjoyed most of the songs, and appreciated the fact that the bass was quite high in the mix on the few songs. Though, the basslines are extremely unoriginal, and you can tell they ...

Re: I wish you well I wish YOUUU-WEHH

I love Metallica... but I wanted to somehow manifest that video into a physical form so I could throw it at a wall, haha. So annoying. The amazing thing about this Metallica video is that you can hear James' 80's voice in those sessions. I never thought he still had it in him after so many years, a...

Re: I wish you well I wish YOUUU-WEHH

This is nowhere near as bad as Hetfield. I was watching the Garage inc recording sessions the other day, and as much as I love Metallica, this "yeah yeah yeah" thing is annoying.

I Love Mark songwriting! ODR is all Mark and It's an amazing album. I just didn't be moved by his solo effort. +1. ODR is perfect. :headbang Will there ever come a point where if you don't like the music an artist does you won't feel the need to constantly say so on a forum about them? I mean if yo...

Re: Your "All I Was" Review Here

What I've become increasingly surprised about on this message board is how many people seem to genuinely dislike Mark's songwriting. Maybe there's a reason to that. We've all pretty much been huge fans of Mark, whether it was in Creed or AB. If that many fans say something is wrong, who knows, they...

Both are average.
Slash can do better.
Myles can do better.
Mark can do better.

Re: Your "All I Was" Review Here

Quick thoughts : - some REALLY nice riffs here and there (Wish you well, Giving Up, Decay, Brains). Also the shredding parts of Wish you well and So you're afraid are quite badass ! - the melodic choruses almost always sound forced and out of place. It's not Alter bridge, and these metal riffs didn'...

Re: Full 'All I Was' Stream

First quick thoughts : - not as bad as I thought it would be (except from Doesn't Matter, there are no obvious fillers) - album lacks variety : way too many similar songs - production is awful, and in my speakers, the guitars sound like they're frying. I hope it's just the stream, and that the CD wi...
