Re: Favourite pre-release track from The Last Hero?
Poison for me. That nasty riff and the pinch harmonic at 16 seconds did it.

Re: Mini Fall US Tour 9/22 - 10/10
My Champion was the real hook of the set, I think. The crowd was completely invested after the song when Myles commented, "That was me fucking up in the intro, there." It's hard to explain, but it created a nice moment between band & crowd.

Re: Official "The Last Hero" Thread
Well, I will say this much. My Champion is definitely my least favorite out of the 3 tracks released so far. I expected after the listening party descriptions that it may be my least favorite on the album. I liked it a lot better than I expected I would, but it still was in the "eh" territ...

Re: Alter Bridge/Creed/Mark Tremonti Tuning Master List
So, AB just posted a link to an article where they break down each song, track by track, and Mark names out some of the tunings. Since he officially put the tunings out there, I think we can add them to the list, since we don't have to guess. Mods, if it's still too early, feel free to delete, but h...

I don't get White Knuckles as much... to me it sounds like a lower octave version of The Cage. Seriously sounds identical riff-wise, just lower.Raven wrote:Im surprised no1 has brought up how similar the opening riff of Poison sounds so much like White knuckles

Re: Official "The Last Hero" Thread
It is what it is regarding The Other Side's release... but can't help but agree. That's trash. Everyone gets it but us. I get why they shut it down though so I'll deal with it.

Doesn't appear that way. Sigh. Oh well. The riff they previewed with Trunk was nuts. Look forward to hearing it. Especially with people saying it's very ABIII like.joshuabeau wrote:I have a feeling the US won't get The Other Side..

Well... that pinch harmonic to really kick off Poison.... almost flipped my table over. That was sick. More of these please.
The wait until the 7th is gonna be brutal.

Re: Official "The Last Hero" Thread
Another thing, and this is probably a ridiculous thing to think about but something to discuss, is what sort of people and new fans The Last Hero could bring. If this is believed to be their heaviest album ever, maybe it might bring the wrong kind of fans that some people would like to see in an AB...

Re: DUST - The Second Part
So after a number of listens to the album I found that even though I love the track, Tore My Heart Out does drag on. That last chorus is totally unnecessary. So I did my own edit to see what it would sound like. Straight from the ending of the bridge into the outro. Holy hell. The track sounds amazi...

Re: Alter Bridge/Creed/Mark Tremonti Tuning Master List
As for the tracks from Dust, these are for sure tunings used on certain songs. My Last Mistake was a bizarre case. Mark claimed on twitter that it was C# Standard, the tutorial said Drop C#, but it's surely in D# Standard. The Cage - Drop B (definitely Drop B based on the bridge riff and solo hittin...

Re: DUST Listener Reviews
Never Wrong - Hello, I'm an Alter Bridge song that never happened. OMG I don't care though. Is it possible that Mark is the T.Swift of Metal? Like, dude is low-key pissed at some people. This song is pretty flawless. It's just seamless, from intro straight to the solo. This. First listen, this was ...

Re: Create Your 10 Track DUSTERIZE
Can't it be a 20 Track Dusterize instead :P ? That's much more challenging but it'd be one hell of a CD! :rockon :mtrocks Haha, Shea, that was the idea I was going for with the "perfect track listing" thread on this forum. 10 track Combo album is a different beast, but I did start a threa...

Re: DUST Listener Reviews
Well.... after one listen through... I'm floored by this album. Can't even try to pick a favorite yet. I think I nearly had a stroke at the end of Tore My Heart Out. The hell did that come from!? In all seriousness, I'm walking funny. I may have pulled a groin in my one man mosh pit. So ya know... t...

^Ironic. Humor. its ok to laugh at yourself... and others. Billy Madison is arguably one of the best movies ever and you can quote it in just about any situation. take it... try it in your everyday life. Just want to say that I quote Happy Gilmore almost every day. Hopefully that counts for somethi...

What is right/wrong with talking about itt, the contents of the songs that have yet to be officially released when we all know the album is going to out on Friday and that we are going to buy it? Bought the pr...
