Re: Unpopular Opinions - Alter Bridge Edition
I had been meaning to revisit this board after seeing Tremonti live last night and coincidentally, whilst watching Tremonti, I had formulated an opinion that may be considered unpopular. When watching Tremonti, I realised that Alter Bridge are a rather average live band. For context, I have seen Alt...

Re: Walk the Sky Europe 2019 Tour w/ Shinedown and the Raven Age
I saw their show in Cardiff, I've been meaning to share my thoughts for some time and this discussion on the set list had prompted me. I might as well start by saying that I don't consider myself to be a massive AB fan anymore. I loved Fortress, but a fair amount of my enthusiasm died for AB with Th...

Re: Walk the Sky Europe 2019 Tour w/ Shinedown and the Raven Age
I've got mixed thoughts on Sevendust dropping out. In some ways I'm disappointed because I was looking forward to seeing them, but I'm also pleased because this means that I no longer have to sit through Shinedown. I think Shinedown supported AB a few backs (or maybe it was Black Stone Cherry)? Eith...

Re: The Official JOHN MAYER Thread
I didn't realise we had a John Mayer thread here. I actually saw him for the first time a couple of weeks ago in London. Here's the set list: https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/john-mayer/2019/the-o2-arena-london-england-2b9da47e.html The first set was great and mind blowing at times. Waiting on the Day...

Although this place leans more on the side of a troll group than a fandom. Not saying you have to praise everything but man is it possible for any positivity here i mean gee whiz. I like how in one sentence you insult the entire forum, but you ask for more positivity in the next sentence. I've stay...

Re: The Official BIG WRECK Thread
I've just listened to their new song, I really enjoy it. I get some strong Aerosmith vibes from the melody, Ian's vocal delivery and the instrumentation overall. The production on all of the songs we've heard is incredible. The drums sound massive, they have so much punch but are also crystal clear....

Have they announced the release date for the new album? Also, are Big Wreck now a three-piece?

Re: Has Anyone Met Their Boyfriend/Girlfriend at a Show?
Not specifically AB, but Slash (ft. Myles). When they were playing in Amsterdam at the end of 2014 I met my (current) girlfriend in line. If I may ask, what did you say to her? Like how did you break the ice? I'm curious as well, if you don't mind sharing Apologies if I'm interjecting by answering ...

Re: Alter Bridge Walk the Sky Tour 2019
Most venues should have handicap accessible areas even in standing room only I would hope. When I was looking for tickets yesterday I noticed a handicap section at the venue I was looking at even though it’s all standing room only. Maybe try contacting the venue in Orlando directly and asking about...

I'm saddened to hear Brian's passing. I'm grateful for he music he has offered.
Re: GW
I'm reluctant to speculate but I've wondered whether or not he sustained a drumming related injury. I haven't watched many videos of Garrett play live, but in the videos I have seen his technique seemed quite poor from an endurance perspective. He seemed to play with this head down a lot, hitting ex...

Re: The Game of Thrones Thread.
I agree with you Ubik. I think they could have done an entire season of Dany on the throne and I think it would have made for some great tension, but no, we'll settle for 30 minutes with her on the throne instead. On that note, I think they could have done an entire season on the White Walkers alone...

Re: The Game of Thrones Thread.
I appreciate that it is probably impossible to end the series in a way to satisfy everyone, and I know that people are obviously going to dislike the ending, as it won't live up to the eight years of fan theories and inner thoughts that people have had regarding Game of Thrones. But I really don't h...

Re: The Game of Thrones Thread.
I have so many mixed feelings about this episode. I loved the first half but didn't enjoy the second half so much. When the battle started I found it utterly terrifying to watch. I was watching it full of suspense. When the Dothraki's swords were lit up I felt quite optimistic, but then once the ent...

Re: The Official BLACK STONE CHERRY Thread
I just saw Black Stone Cherry for the seventh time on Thursday. To provide context, I only bought the tickets on Tuesday evening, I was reluctant to go for two reasons: firstly, their new album did not impress me at all, secondly, and more positively, whenever my Dad and I have seen BSC before, they...

Re: Alter Bridge - Live At The Royal Albert Hall
The orchestra is virtually non existence on much of the audio. On some parts, the lack of orchestra seems preemptive even. For instance, every time Mark has a solo, it's like the orchestra is taking a bathroom break. When the songs first started to get released I thought "well, maybe the orche...

Re: Alter Bridge - Live At The Royal Albert Hall
I'm wondering whether you guys may be able to help me with this query. I'm only just getting round to pre-ordering my bundle. There's two options on the UK store that I'm thinking of: https://alterbridge.tmstor.es/cart/product.php?id=38756 https://alterbridge.tmstor.es/cart/product.php?id=38754 As f...

Re: Alter Bridge - Live At The Royal Albert Hall
I find it interesting that they chose to release Addicted to Pain first as it was one of the least impressive songs of the night. I recall having to warm to the earlier parts of both sets at the time as some of the songs, such as Addicted to Pain and Writings on the Wall, simply felt like a metal ba...

Re: Should the Conspirators keep on playing GNR songs?
Do you think they would be able to sell enough tickets if they didn't play GnR? And, do you think the show would it be interesting and engaging enough to the casual fan if they didn't play GnR? I think the answer to both questions is no, although I do wander how the GnR reunion impacts on the demand...

Re: Alter Bridge - Live At The Royal Albert Hall
Just as a bit of context, I consider myself to be quite far from an AB diehard fan or a 'fanboy', but I went to both of the Royal Albert Hall shows and I thought the shows were absolutely incredible. This DVD is an absolute instant must buy for me, simply because I cannot wait to relive the nights. ...
