Re: Alter Bridge Fall Tour 2017 (South America and Europe)

People can't even properly clap along with it, lol (seriously, what the hell was that beginning?) Ah, that's a typical German thing. Even though I thought that this was more of an elder generation issue and that by now German audiences know how to clap rhythmically. Superior Aryan race my ass. I be...

Re: Alter Bridge Fall Tour 2017 (South America and Europe)

People can't even properly clap along with it, lol (seriously, what the hell was that beginning?) Back in 04 it would've been a great closer, especially with the extra dosage of passion. Now it would just be confusing (as much as I like the song, and the fact that they played it). If they'd have to ...

Re: What are you listening to right now?

Just gave Betrayer a listen because of a feature on UG. Pretty impressive. The Sin And The Sentence is awesome as well.

Re: ALTER BRIDGE BOX SET

It's not about creativity. It's about it looking like it was made in MS Paint in 5 minutes. AB III did not.

Re: ALTER BRIDGE BOX SET

The moment they revealed the artwork everybody with half a brain knew this was gonna the laziest money-grab in the world. It still blows my mind how long people kept defending Dan. AB fans are loyal, that's for sure.

Re: Royal Albert Hall Setlist/Speculation

Cry of Achilles on the second night was absolutely perfect. Best version of the song ever, including the studio version.

Re: Royal Albert Hall Setlist/Speculation

It's Download, not Wacken... Even during their heaviest songs they're still semi-metal. Might as well play to your strengths and make a spectacle about it.

Re: Royal Albert Hall Setlist/Speculation

The staccato strings during the verses of Ghost are really cool. Reminded me of Radiohead's Burn The Witch. Best sounding Alter Bridge video I've ever heard. About Words, it's almost surreal. That video hit me really hard. Compared 7 years ago to where I am today.. "It's been a long long time&q...

Re: Royal Albert Hall Setlist/Speculation

Myles is sounding amazing. I was wondering if they were gonna bring backup singers along, but the guy doesn't need it. What a legend.

Twitter. There's not enough activity on there to make it exciting to follow though (except for one), so I'll just check only a few times during the show.

Re: Royal Albert Hall Setlist/Speculation

They're really playing to their strengths here, and the orchestra will bring them to another level. I hope all of this will have a positive influence on the new album.

Re: Books/What are you reading?

Thanks! Looks pretty interesting. Can't say I've read a lot of Japanese literature. Only Shusaku Endo's Silence, which was really interesting, but completely different from what you're suggesting. I've read some dystopian books here and there, but I've never read a lot of SF books (only Douglas Ada...

Re: Books/What are you reading?

Timo just read The Way of Kings. I WILL!! It's on my list of books I'm always on the lookout for when I'm in a bookstore, but it's practically unfindable here in Belgium :( And then start the Wheel of Time. Already read the first one! I've had Dune on my bookshelf with a mental "to read" ...

Re: Books/What are you reading?

I know we've been through this already, but since there are a lot of new members and a lot of new books have been read, would you guys and girls mind recommending me some of your favorite books, or just books that you've read recently that impressed you a lot? I love having a bunch of books in the b...
