Re: New Slash/MK Album On The Way

The solo in The One You Loved Is Gone is 100% Bon Jovi. Wonderful song though. Better than the song it references at the end, Battleground. Reminds me of their live rendition of Gotten.

Re: New Slash/MK Album On The Way

Surprisingly great new album. It's leaning more towards classic rock at moments in stead of hard rock / metal like World on Fire did. Which I think they do a lot better. And luckily there are still a lot of clean / moody moments for Myles to shine. Myles can do better than he did on this album, but ...

Re: New Slash/MK Album On The Way

Musically, the new one is the most fun. Love the intro and the main riff. Sadly, Myles's melodies are pretty boring.

Funny thing, Timo. I, too, lack the passion of Amsterdam and I don't blame you. They look to be fun people to be around with, especially in concerts.

I guess I really do!

Re: Alter Bridge - Live At The Royal Albert Hall

Perfection is impossible, but many things done incredibly well will get you really close. There are so many tiny details production wise that could've been done better. Most of them have been mentioned in here, so I won't repeat them, but most of them are so frustratingly easy to fix. Most of them m...

I was right :D

Re: Alter Bridge - Live At The Royal Albert Hall

The conductor is so into the song at the end :D

Great performance of one of the best songs they've ever written. I miss Myles' wails during the bridge, but still such a stellar performance.

Re: New Slash/MK Album On The Way

Catchy chorus and fun instrumentation as the song progresses, but besides the chorus it's a pretty boring song vocally, and the lyrics aren't that special either.

Edit: second listen is a lot more enjoyable!

Re: New Slash/MK Album On The Way

So Myles is allowed to have side projects and Slash isn't? He didn't tell the Conspirators to fuck off. Neither did Myles when he went off to record Fortress and The Last Hero. They are all reasonable adults, which is why they all keep making music together.

Haha no, it's just a show I started watching because of her. We're watching Game of Thrones together now because that's something I really like.

Re: What are you watching right now?

Anyone else watch The 100? All the stupidity of the middle of season 2 was salvaged by a very good season finale. Wonder if they'll do a season 7 Very happy to have the new season of Better Call Saul back on now. I watch it with my girlfriend. It's pretty entertaining, but sometimes the characters ...

Re: Alter Bridge - Live At The Royal Albert Hall

It could be a bit louder and clearer, but I for the rest I disagree. The orchestra adds so much. The staccato part in the second verse, the horn or trumpet before the last chorus. The entire outro is beautifully arranged.... During the harder parts it's not that obvious, but it still fills so many s...

Re: Alter Bridge - Live At The Royal Albert Hall

This is what they're the best at, and the orchestra is just a perfect fit. I really, really hope they were inspired by this performance.

The crowd applauding the high note is so beautiful.
