Re: The Official "Total Randomness" Thread

People in bands arent my heroes. Again, I've never put band members on pedestals. For the most part. I dont particularly care about the opinions of celelbrities. Again, theres nothing wrong with looking up to a person in a band or anything, per se. Its just not something I particularly care for. My ...

Re: What are you watching right now?

I think the walking dead jumped the shark during season 7. It just got old.

After season 6, they should have just wrapped it up with 1 or 2 more seasons and went out on a high note. Instead they chose to drag it out forever. With the time jump, it’s almost a different show now.

Re: Tremonti on His Relationship With Stapp

If people ask Tremonti about Creed all the time, it’s because they genuinely like the band. It’s not a gloating thing like “ha ha Creed are better”. Also, just because a song has more complex guitar work or solos doesn’t make it automatically better. Sure, complex guitar work counts for something, b...

Young Grow Old - love the guitar tone

Sounds like Tremonti is singing backup vocals on chorus of What If (I think it’s him).

And there’s backup vocals on the choruses of Wrong Way and Are You Ready but I’m not sure who is singing them.

Re: What are you watching right now?

Anyone still watch the walking dead?

I gave up somewhere around season 7.

I still read what happens on Wikipedia but that’s it.

Re: Do you prefer Creed or Alter Bridge?

Yeah more complex guitar work doesn’t always make a song better. Some Creed songs are kinda simple, and yet they are so great because of the great vocal melody and good/great lyrics. Ex) one last breath, torn, my own prison What’s this life for, is this the end One of the things I like about some Cr...

Can’t you just put the cd in a CD player or a stereo or your computer or whatever?

Re: Do you prefer Creed or Alter Bridge?

Creed has the better guitar tone.

It’s hard to compare two different bands with two different sounding singers. Both bands have their strengths.

The mixing on most Alter Bridge’s albums sucks.
That’s why a lot of the songs from Blackbird are more enjoyable in a live format, for example.

Re: Revisiting Full Circle

Yeah who knows what would have happened had Creed kept going. MoP got me into Creed which then got me into all their albums, which then got me into AltarBridge. Just listened to What’s This Life For the other day. It hit kinda hard because I’ve known people over the years who have committed suicide....

Even at the time, I thought it was kinda stupid.

Bands always get compared to what came before, I guess.

Incubus vs hoobastank , Bush vs Nirvana etc.

Re: Revisiting Full Circle

I used to have the album booklet back in the day. So that’s what I remember reading. But maybe my memory is wrong idk. Maybe it was a 5 string bass. Regardless, they must have been only using a 4 string bass live then. Edit: I just watched the live video. Maybe it’s exactly like it was on the record...

Re: What are you listening to right now?

Yeah, some of Jeremy Camps songs are pretty good.

Tonight, Everytime, Restored, etc.

And yeah 30H!3 literally only have one good song and it’s “don’t trust me”.

And My Darkest Days aren’t very good, IMO.

Re: Revisiting Full Circle

Freedom Fighter is a heavy song, but it doesn’t sound nearly as heavy in the live videos on YouTube.

Probably because they aren’t using a six string bass live (which is what was used on the record).

Re: The Official PEARL JAM thread

Animal from their Vs album is truly solid.

I think Pearl Jam definelty have some good songs.

My main issue is that Eddie mumbles instead of sings a lot. It’s kinda annoying. That’s his style tho I guess.

Re: What are you listening to right now?

Superman’s dead, and somewhere out there by them are pretty good. Also on a different note, I think Skillet are rather average. Not a fan of black stone cherry or POD either. And yeah I think My Darkest Days, 3OH!3, Buckcherry, and Smashing Pumpkins kinda suck. Main thing for smashing pumpkins is th...
