London - 12 Dec, 2022

Anybody going to this show that would be keen to meet up? Don't know any AB fans but I'd be keen to link up with others before sorting my ticket

Re: Album Rankings - Tremonti-only

1. A Dying Machine 2. Dust 3. Marching In Time 4. Cauterize 5. All I Was A Dying Machine is by far the most interesting Tremonti album. Don't think much more needs to be said about it since most people have put it at the top. Dust was a better version of Cauterize, and I tend to listen to tracks off...

Re: Marching In Time

Just listened to the single. Yeah...it's alright. Personally I don't find it all that interesting. I think most of the tracks on A Dying Machine were better. The new drummer seems pretty solid though. And I'm definitely a fan of that solo at the end! But overall it just sounds a bit...boring compare...

Re: The Ides of March

I actually really enjoyed Year Of The Tiger, but overall this album misses the mark for me. Someone else mentioned it's just not very memorable and I feel like that sums it up quite well. I do like that he's tried to expand his sound a fair bit, and there are some pretty decent tracks on here. I par...

Re: Battle Of The Track Numbers: Track 01

Bit unfair for anything to go up against Cry Of Achilles to be honest. I actually love One Life and would pick it over many other AB tracks.

Unranked order... Burn It Down Down To My Last Shed My Skin Before Tomorrow Comes Words Darker Than Their Wings Bleed It Dry Fortress Never Say Die This Side Of Fate The Last Hero Might be a bit controversial leaving out Blackbird for songs like Before Tomrorow Comes and Never Say Die, but I honestl...

Re: Best and worst Alterbridge album

1. Fortress
2. One Day Remains
3. Walk The Sky
4. The Last Hero
5. Blackbird
6. AB III

Honestly only listen to a handful of tracks from Blackbird these days and tend to skip almost all of AB III. Come at me fans.

Re: Walk The Sky Reaction Thread

In The Deep and Dying Light have definitely grown on me.

Still not understanding the fuss about Godspeed though, feel like I'm missing something everybody is seeing.

Re: Walk The Sky - Favorite Songs Poll

I actually quite like In The Deep, Take The Crown and Pay No Mind.

But it's tough for it beat the shiny novelty of the other tracks so I'd suspect you guys are right.

Although I never listened to Dying Light before the release and still think it's one of the weaker tracks.

Man, didn't realise so many people hated The Last Hero. Thought it was a decent album. I feel like it's miles better than ABIII at least.

Re: Walk The Sky Reaction Thread

First thoughts: I like the general sound of the album, it's quite up-tempo without super heavy songs, mixing seems a bit harsh and it doesn't help that large parts of the album are soundwalled with too many guitars or vocal overdubs, lots of Slash/Conspirators influence throughout the album. The tra...

Re: Tremonti pt #4 - A Dying Machine

I've only spun the album a few times, so hard to give a solid opinion, but overall I'm really enjoying it. Probably the most I've enjoyed a Tremonti album on first listen. Certainly a bit of a different sound (although not that much of a deviation), but a welcome one. Some really great tracks on her...

Re: Myles Kennedy - "Year of the Tiger"

Digging this album more and more. It's a bit hit or miss, and in all honesty I didn't think a Myles acoustic album would sound quite like this. I guess I was expecting more of a stripped-down Mayfield Four sound. But there are some really great tracks and it definitely grows on you a lot. Favourite ...

Re: Favorite Alter Bridge Record

1. Fortress 2. One Day Remains 3. The Last Hero 4. Blackbird 5. ABIII Fortress was a huge leap forward in my opinion, one they couldn't quite sustain on The Last Hero. Still, TLH does have some great songs, even if the production is severely lacking. One Day Remains is dynamic and has strong songs a...

Excited, though tickets are $90+ which seems a bit excessive. Hopefully there's other TABN members that are keen to go.

Re: Solos on The Last Hero

I think Myles is more technically proficient. I'd say he's a cleaner player too. However, as for who produces a better sound? That's a bit unfair considering Myles only writes so many guitar parts while Mark has been writing the bulk of it for over a decade now. It's a little easier to look good whe...
